Sangke Pagoda - Battambong, Cambodia

Sangke Pagoda - Battambong, Cambodia

វត្តឥន្រ្ទាធិបតី / Indreathebtey : this pagoda is most known as Sangke Pagoda, for the pagoda lay along the Sangker River, Battambang.

Things that attracted me the most about this pagoda were its style.

The main gate which had sculpture of four heads turned their face to different directions. Four of them had crowns which looked as similar as main towers of Angkor Wat.

The Dvarapala or Gate Guardians who stood tall at the both front and back door of the Vihara.

Especially the colorful giants at the front door, size twice bigger than human, they caught my eyes.

and the last thing was its columns. Each of them were attached the Garudas.
